Why is it called a varistor
Varistor is a sensitive component. It is a nonlinear electronic component. Because it is sensitive to voltage, we call it "varistor". Its main function is to clamp the surge voltage. "Varistor" is the most common name, Taiwan compatriots like to call it "MOV" or "surge absorber", and the most commonly used English word is "Varistor".

Â
Â
â‘ ,According to the circuit environment, MOV is used in all circuits with transient overvoltage.
â‘¡,According to the senses, all electric or electronic circuits should have MOV.

2.Surges generated by electrical switches, i.e. operating overvoltages
3.Lightning's Ground Potential Counterattack
4.Induction of electromagnetic pulses such as lightning
5.Loss of zero in the power distribution system or poor connection of the neutral wire or other faults
6.Harmonics generated in power transmission and distribution
